Search Brevard County Jail Mugshots and Booking Records
Start with the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Arrest Inquiry and official inmate search. The search provides date-range, name, subject-number and booking-number fields, while individual booking pages can show the booking photo, custody or release status, charges, bonds and related case information.
Records Search
Court, Criminal, Marriage, Divorce, Property
A booking photo documents an arrest and jail-processing event. It does not establish guilt or show how the criminal case ultimately ended. When the later case status matters, move from the jail record to the Brevard County Clerk of Court’s BECA case search.
Which Brevard County Record Answers Your Question?
A mugshot search, current inmate search, arrest report, warrant search and criminal court case are different records. Starting with the system that actually holds the information saves time and reduces the risk of relying on an outdated third-party copy.
Need a Brevard jail booking or mugshot?
Use the BCSO inmate search for booking and custody information held in the Sheriff’s jail database.
Open inmate search →Need an arrest report or jail record?
Use the Sheriff’s Public Records Requests process when an online booking page is not sufficient or you need responsive records from BCSO.
BCSO public records →Need to know what happened after booking?
Use the Brevard Clerk’s BECA system for the criminal court case and later court activity.
Brevard court case search →Looking for a wanted person instead?
A warrant search is not the same as a booking search. BCSO maintains a separate offender and warrant resource page.
BCSO warrant resources →Need broader Florida criminal-history information?
Use the Florida Department of Law Enforcement rather than treating a Brevard County jail record as a statewide criminal-history search.
FDLE Florida checks →Need another Florida county?
Use our Florida record guide to identify the correct county jail, court and statewide record route.
Florida mugshots & jail records →How to Search the Official Brevard County Inmate Database
BCSO links its Arrest Inquiry page directly to the county’s inmate-search application. The current search form offers date fields as well as several person-specific identifiers.
Open the official BCSO inmate search
Use the Sheriff’s official search rather than starting with a republished mugshot gallery.
Choose the strongest search information you have
The current form provides From Date, To Date, Last Name, First Name, Subject Number and Booking Number fields. A booking or subject number is more specific than a common name.
Narrow recent bookings with the date fields
If your question is about a recent arrest period rather than one known person, use the From Date and To Date controls to narrow the booking results.
Open the matching booking carefully
Compare the identifying information and booking details before assuming that a same-name result is the person you intended to find.
Move to the court record when the legal outcome matters
A booking page shows jail-side information. Use the Brevard Clerk’s case system for later filings, hearings and court disposition information that is publicly available.
What a Brevard County Booking Page Can Show
Current BCSO booking-detail pages contain several types of information in one place. Each field answers a different question, and none should be treated as a final judgment of guilt.
| Booking field | What it can tell you | What it does not prove |
|---|---|---|
| Booking photo | Image associated with the jail booking when a photo is displayed. | Guilt, conviction or final disposition. |
| Booking number | Identifier for that booking event. | That every charge remained unchanged in court. |
| Custody / released status | Whether the booking record currently shows the person in custody or released. | Current legal status outside the jail system. |
| Charges | Charges associated with the booking record at that stage. | That prosecutors ultimately filed or proved every listed allegation. |
| Bond information | Bond type or amount attached to the booking when displayed. | A guaranteed release time. |
| Case / docket number | A useful identifier for moving to the court system. | The final result without checking the Clerk’s record. |
| Arresting agency | Which agency is associated with the arrest entry. | That BCSO created every underlying incident report. |
How to Look for Recent Brevard County Bookings
Unlike a simple current-custody-only roster, the BCSO search includes From Date and To Date fields. That makes it possible to narrow the database around a recent booking period without inventing a separate “24-hour mugshot archive” that the Sheriff does not advertise.
| What you know | Best search approach | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Approximate booking date | Use a narrow From Date / To Date range. | Verify the matching name and booking details. |
| Full name | Search Last Name and First Name. | Use booking date and other displayed details to avoid a same-name error. |
| Booking number | Use the Booking Number field. | Open the matching booking directly when available. |
| Subject number | Use the Subject Number field. | Review booking history associated with the correct subject. |
| Person already released | Search the inmate database first, then use BCSO records if necessary. | Use BECA for later court activity. |
BCSO does not publish a guaranteed retention period for every historical booking in the search interface. Do not promise that a specific number of years will always remain online.
Why a Brevard County Mugshot or Booking May Not Appear
A missing search result does not automatically mean no arrest occurred. The correct next step depends on why the online jail database is not answering the question.
The spelling may differ
Retry the official name search carefully and use a booking or subject number when you have one.
The information may be changing
BCSO explicitly warns that inmate information changes quickly and may not reflect the most current situation.
The person may no longer be in custody
BCSO booking pages can show released records, but use a formal records request if the online search no longer provides what you need.
You may need a police report instead
The jail booking is not the same as the investigating agency’s arrest or incident report.
The question may now belong in court records
If you are checking filed charges, hearings or disposition, use the Clerk’s BECA case search.
The record may not be publicly available online
Some records can be confidential, exempt, sealed, expunged or otherwise restricted. Do not try to bypass lawful access controls.
How to Request a Brevard County Jail or Arrest Record
BCSO directs public-record requests through its dedicated request system. The Sheriff notes that requests require research and exemption review and cannot be completed the same day they are submitted.
Information that helps narrow the request
- Person’s full name and known spelling variants.
- Approximate arrest or booking date.
- Booking number, subject number or case number if known.
- Type of record needed, such as a records check or case report.
- Specific date range rather than an unnecessarily broad request.
Current BCSO fee details
- Records check: $2 per last-name inquiry.
- Case report: $0.15 per single-sided copy when the request is 10 pages or more.
- Double-sided copy: $0.20.
- Employee labor may be charged when a request takes 15 minutes or more to fulfill.
- Extensive requests may require an advance deposit.
Use Brevard Clerk BECA to Check the Criminal Court Case
The Brevard Electronic Court Application, or BECA, is the Clerk of Court’s online case-search system. The Clerk provides a General Public Court Records Search after the user accepts the site disclaimer.
When BECA is the better source
Move to the Clerk when you need later court filings, hearings, publicly available documents or case-disposition information rather than the original jail-stage charge list.
What to carry over from the booking record
Use the person’s full name and any available case or docket number. These identifiers can reduce confusion when several people have similar names.

Checking Bond After a Brevard County Booking
Booking-detail pages can display bond information. For current questions, BCSO lists its main jail number and an Inmate Information/Bonds contact route rather than asking users to rely on an old reposted mugshot page.
Check the booking record
Review the displayed bond type or amount, if available, and confirm the correct person before making a payment.
BCSO-listed payment options
The Jail FAQ says full bond may be paid by cashier’s check, certified check or money order made payable to the Brevard County Clerk of Courts.
TouchPay option
BCSO currently directs cash or credit-card bond payments through TouchPay and says depositors need the inmate’s CID number and full name.
Brevard Booking Search, Warrants and Florida Criminal History Are Different
These services answer different questions. Using the narrowest official source for the task is more reliable than assuming one mugshot database contains an entire criminal history.
| Need | Official provider | Useful for |
|---|---|---|
| Brevard jail booking / mugshot | Brevard County Sheriff’s Office | Booking, custody/release, bond and jail-side charge information. |
| Formal BCSO arrest or jail record | BCSO Public Records | Records not adequately answered by the public inmate-search page. |
| Brevard criminal court case | Brevard County Clerk of Court | Later court activity and publicly accessible case information. |
| Wanted-person search | BCSO / FDLE warrant resources | Wanted-person information rather than completed jail bookings. |
| Florida criminal-history search | Florida Department of Law Enforcement | Statewide Florida criminal-history information. |
FDLE currently lists a $24 public criminal-history search fee. Its Instant Search also lists a $1 credit-card processing fee. Verify the current amount on FDLE immediately before paying because government fees can change.

Brevard County Jail Mugshots and Inmate Search FAQ
Where can I find official Brevard County jail mugshots?
Start with the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Arrest Inquiry page and open the official inmate search. Booking detail pages can display a booking photo together with custody or release status, bonds, charges and case information.
Can I search Brevard County bookings by date?
Yes. The official inmate search provides From Date and To Date fields, along with name, subject-number and booking-number fields. Use the date controls to narrow a recent booking search.
What if the person has already been released?
The Brevard inmate system can show released booking records and booking history, but BCSO warns that online information can change and is not a substitute for a formal public-record request. Use BCSO records when the online result is insufficient, then use BECA for the later court case.
Does a Brevard County mugshot mean the person was convicted?
No. BCSO explicitly states that an arrest does not mean a person has been convicted and that subjects are considered innocent unless proven guilty in court. Check the court record for later case activity and disposition.
Where is the Brevard County Jail Complex?
BCSO currently lists the Jail Complex at 860 Camp Road, Cocoa, Florida 32927. The main jail number is 321-690-1500.
Is the Brevard County Jail in Sharpes or Cocoa?
Sharpes is a community in North Brevard County, but BCSO currently lists the Jail Complex address as 860 Camp Road, Cocoa, FL 32927. If you searched “Sharps,” the local place name is spelled Sharpes.
How do I request a Brevard County jail or arrest record?
Use the BCSO Public Records Requests page. The current Sheriff fee schedule lists a $2 records check per last-name inquiry and notes that requests require research and review, so they cannot be completed the same day they are submitted.
