Find Current Inmates, Today’s Bookings, Mugshots and Arrest Records Through Official Sources
St. Lucie County provides several official ways to check an arrest. Use the Sheriff’s inmate lookup for current jail custody and recent releases, the “Only Today’s Bookings” option for fresh intake, Daily Arrest Information for arrest affidavits, and the Clerk of Court when you need the criminal case after booking.
Records Search
Court, Criminal, Marriage, Divorce, Property
A mugshot or booking entry documents an arrest-stage event. It does not establish guilt or show the final result of the criminal case. Charges, bond status and custody can change after the initial booking.
Which St. Lucie County Record Answers Your Question?
“St. Lucie County mugshots” can refer to current inmates, people booked today, a booking photo, an arrest affidavit, a release record, bond information or a criminal court case. These records overlap, but they do not answer the same question.
Is the person in jail now?
Start with the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s official inmate search. Enter at least part of a first or last name.
Search current inmates →Was the person booked today?
The Sheriff’s inmate-search interface currently includes an “Only Today’s Bookings” option for narrowing the results to fresh jail intake.
Check today’s bookings →Do you need arrest paperwork?
Use the Sheriff’s Daily Arrest Information page when you are looking for arrest affidavits rather than only jail custody.
Daily Arrest Information →Was the person recently released?
Use the Sheriff’s release-report route. The live report currently identifies itself as a multi-day release report and lists release dates and times.
Open release report →What happened after booking?
Search the St. Lucie County Clerk’s criminal case system for filed cases, court dates, assigned judges and later court activity.
Search court cases →Was the person sent to Florida prison?
County-jail custody and Florida Department of Corrections custody are separate. Use FDC when the person has entered the state correctional system.
Florida DOC →How to Search the St. Lucie County Inmate Lookup
The official jail-search form accepts partial names, which is useful when you are unsure of a complete spelling. The search also permits browsing all inmates through its wildcard method and provides an option for today’s bookings.
Open the Sheriff’s official inmate search
Verify that you are using the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s jail domain rather than a commercial mugshot directory.
Enter at least part of the first or last name
The Sheriff states that partial-name searching is supported. Try the strongest spelling you have before concluding that no record exists.
Use “Only Today’s Bookings” when appropriate
Enable the current search option when the arrest happened today and you want to narrow the results to the newest booking activity.
Open the matching inmate profile
A profile can include inmate ID, date of birth, age, arresting agency, booking date and time, housing, visitation, expected release, release information, charges and bond amounts.
Verify identity before relying on the entry
Compare date of birth and other identifiers whenever available. A common name by itself is not enough to safely identify someone.
Move to the next official record
Use the arresting agency for incident records, the Sheriff’s public-record portal for Sheriff-maintained records, and the Clerk for the criminal case.
When St. Lucie County Jail Mugshots Are Available
The Sheriff’s Inmate Information page gives a specific limitation: jail booking photos are available through the website only for people who are incarcerated when you query the system.
That means a person can have a legitimate booking record but no longer have a mugshot displayed after release. The live inmate search itself says records can remain visible through five days post-release, creating an important difference between record availability and photo availability.
Booking photo may be displayed
Open the inmate profile and review the image together with the booking details. Verify the person from identifiers, not from the photograph alone.
The public photo may disappear
A released inmate may remain searchable briefly even though the Sheriff says website booking photos are limited to people incarcerated at the time of the query.
How to Check Today’s St. Lucie County Bookings
The official inmate search currently includes an “Only Today’s Bookings” control. This makes it more useful for fresh booking searches than a current-custody roster that offers no intake filter.
The Sheriff also operates a separate Daily Arrest Information page for arrest affidavits. Use the inmate search when the main question is booking or custody, and use Daily Arrest Information when you are looking for arrest paperwork.
Fresh jail intake
Use the inmate lookup and activate “Only Today’s Bookings.”
Arrest affidavit
Use the Sheriff’s Daily Arrest Information page rather than assuming the inmate profile contains the complete arrest narrative.
For broader guidance on how local recent-booking systems differ across the United States, see Recently Booked Mugshots & Latest Arrest Bookings.
How to Find Recent St. Lucie County Jail Releases
The Sheriff’s Inmate Information navigation describes its release resource as a 48-hour report, while the live linked report currently labels itself a 5 Day Release Report. Because those labels are not identical, rely on the date range actually displayed by the live report when you use it.
The current release-report output includes the person’s name, date of birth and release date and time. This can help when somebody no longer appears as actively incarcerated.
St. Lucie County Jail Location and Contact
The St. Lucie County Sheriff lists the county jail on North Rock Road in Fort Pierce. The jail’s official Inmate Information section covers inmate lookup, releases, visitation, mail, accounts, medical contacts and communication services.

How to Request a St. Lucie County Arrest Report or Booking Record
The St. Lucie County Sheriff uses an electronic public-record request portal for background checks, inter-agency requests and public records. The Sheriff explains that Florida public-record law gives access to agency records unless an exemption applies.
The Sheriff also warns that some material can be exempt from disclosure, including active criminal investigative information, some inmate records, juvenile information, victim information, medical information, certain body-camera material and other protected records.

Make the request specific
- Full name of the person involved, when known.
- Approximate arrest or incident date.
- Booking or case number if available.
- Arresting agency.
- Specific record requested, such as a booking photograph or incident report.
The Sheriff is not required to create a new record or perform general research just because a requester asks a broad question.

Current St. Lucie Sheriff Records Fees
The Sheriff currently publishes the following fees for several common records services. These amounts can change, and additional service, review or payment-processing charges may apply to some requests.
| Record or service | Published fee | Important detail |
|---|---|---|
| Background check | $20.00 | Available in person or online through the Sheriff’s records process. |
| Booking photo / mugshot | $5.00 each | Use the records portal when the image is not available through the live inmate website. |
| Accident report | $0.15 per page | Access restrictions can apply during the statutory period after a crash report is filed. |
| Incident report | $0.15 per page | The Sheriff publishes a free-report provision for qualifying victims under its current instructions. |
| Body-worn camera request | $100 non-refundable deposit + $35/hour labor | The Sheriff can provide a total-cost quote after the required deposit when footage is available. |
| Certified public-record copy | Up to $1.00 per copy | May apply under the Sheriff’s published Florida public-record fee guidance. |
The Sheriff’s page also warns that special service charges may apply when a request requires extensive technology use or supervisory assistance. Card-processing charges can also apply.
Verify current Sheriff fees →Search St. Lucie County Criminal Court Records After Booking
The St. Lucie County Clerk and Comptroller maintains criminal case records. The Clerk explains that Circuit Criminal maintains felony records, while County Criminal maintains misdemeanor, criminal traffic, municipal ordinance and county ordinance cases.
The Clerk’s public search lets users search criminal and civil cases and can show information such as court dates and the assigned judge. This is the better source when you need to know what happened after an arrest or initial jail charge.

Use the person’s legal name and, where available, information from the booking profile to distinguish same-name results.

Where to Find St. Lucie County Bond Information
The Sheriff’s inmate profile can display individual charge information, bond amounts and a total bond amount when those fields apply to the booking. That provides a useful starting point, but court orders can change bond status.
The Clerk distinguishes a surety bond from a cash bond and handles cash-bond refund procedures after the case reaches the appropriate point. For current release conditions, use the inmate profile and court record rather than relying on an older copied booking page.
Cash bond refunds
The Clerk says cash bond money is refunded after final disposition of the case or by order of the judge. Applicable unpaid court fees, costs and criminal penalties can be deducted before refund.
The Clerk currently states that the refund check is mailed within 10 days after the bond has been discharged, applicable deductions have been made and the required refund request and identification have been received.
Payment Center: 772-462-6950
Clerk criminal and bond information →Visitation, Phone, Canteen and Mail Information
The Sheriff maintains separate service pages for jail visitation, communications, inmate accounts and mail. Use these current instructions rather than assuming that a general inmate-search page contains the latest family-contact rules.
Video visitation
The Sheriff currently requires one-time visitor registration. Visits can be scheduled through Smart Communications not less than one day and no more than 14 days in advance.
Published rules state that visits can last up to one hour. Local visits are free, and each inmate may receive two free one-hour remote visits per week under the current rules.
Valid photo identification is required for on-site visitors, and visitors are instructed to arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled visit.
Current visitation rules →Telephone & tablet services
Smart Communications currently provides inmate telephone accounts, tablet services and messaging functions for the St. Lucie County Jail.
Telephone and tablet information →Fund an inmate account
The Sheriff currently uses TouchPay for account funding by kiosk, telephone or internet. The published facility locator number is 234901.
Money orders and cashier’s checks are not accepted for this account-funding process under the current instructions.
Account and canteen instructions →Personal mail
Personal inmate mail is handled through a digital-mail system and is sent to the Sheriff’s published Smart Communications address rather than simply mailing personal correspondence to the Rock Road jail address.
Legal and privileged mail follows a different process, so verify the mail category before sending anything.
Current mail rules →What to Do if the St. Lucie County Search Shows No Result
A missing result can have several explanations. The best next step depends on whether the arrest is very recent, the person has already been released, the arrest occurred under another agency or the person has moved into another custody system.
| Problem | Possible explanation | What to do next |
|---|---|---|
| No result immediately after an arrest | Booking and public-system processing may not yet be complete, or the name may differ from the search. | Retry with a partial name and check “Only Today’s Bookings.” |
| Person was recently released | The active-custody status changed. | Use the release report and remember the inmate search can retain entries briefly after release. |
| Record appears but mugshot is missing | The Sheriff says website booking photos are only available for people incarcerated at the time of the query. | Use the records portal if you specifically need a releasable booking photograph. |
| You need the arrest narrative | An inmate profile is not the same thing as an arrest affidavit or incident report. | Check Daily Arrest Information or request the report from the arresting agency. |
| The arresting agency was Port St. Lucie Police | The Sheriff may hold the inmate, but the city police department may hold the incident report. | Use Port St. Lucie Police Records. |
| The person entered Florida state prison | County jail and Florida DOC custody are separate systems. | Switch to the Florida Department of Corrections offender search. |
| You need the final outcome | The booking system records the jail stage, not the complete prosecution. | Search the St. Lucie Clerk’s criminal case system. |
County Jail Search, Florida Criminal History and State Prison Search Are Different
St. Lucie County Jail is the correct starting point for a local booking or current county custody question. Florida Department of Law Enforcement is the state’s central repository for Florida criminal-history information, while Florida Department of Corrections covers people sentenced to state prison or state supervision.
FDLE criminal history
FDLE currently publishes a $24 fee for public Florida criminal-history record requests.
This is a broader criminal-history product and should not replace the local jail lookup when your question is whether someone was booked into St. Lucie County Jail today.
FDLE criminal history →Florida DOC custody
Florida DOC records cover felony offenders sentenced to the Department of Corrections. The Department specifically notes that its database does not include people whose sentence is county jail or other forms of non-DOC custody.
Florida DOC offender search →For statewide navigation, see the Florida Mugshots: Arrests, Bookings & Jail Records guide.
Sealing or Expunging a Florida Criminal History Record
Removing a booking from current jail custody and legally sealing or expunging a Florida criminal history are not the same thing. If you are researching record relief, use the current Florida Department of Law Enforcement eligibility process rather than assuming a dismissed case automatically disappears from public criminal-history systems.
FDLE states that applying for a Certificate of Eligibility is the first step for court-ordered sealing or expungement under the applicable Florida statutes. Current application requirements can include a completed application, certified disposition, fingerprints and other case-specific documents.
FDLE currently lists a $75 nonrefundable processing fee for a Certificate of Eligibility application and says eligibility processing is typically around 12 weeks after a complete packet is received. A Certificate of Eligibility itself does not seal or expunge the record; the applicant must still complete the court process.
Mugshot, Booking, Arrest Report and Court Case Are Not the Same Record
| Record | Useful for | Does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| Booking photograph | Photo associated with jail intake when publicly available. | Guilt, conviction or final case outcome. |
| Inmate profile | Current/recent custody, booking details, arresting agency, charges and bond fields. | Complete historical criminal record. |
| Daily arrest affidavit | Arrest-stage documentation available through the Sheriff’s Daily Arrest Information route. | Final result of the prosecution. |
| Police/Sheriff incident record | Agency-maintained information concerning the law-enforcement event. | Every later court filing or disposition. |
| Clerk criminal case | Filed case, hearings, judge assignment, court documents and later activity where public. | Present physical jail location unless reflected in the case. |
| FDLE criminal history | Florida statewide criminal-history information. | Live St. Lucie County Jail custody. |
| Florida DOC record | State-prison or qualifying DOC supervision information. | County-jail custody for a person who has not entered the state system. |
St. Lucie County Mugshots and Jail Records FAQ
Where can I search St. Lucie County mugshots?
Start with the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s official inmate lookup. The Sheriff states that jail booking photos are available on the website for people incarcerated at the time the search is performed.
Can I see today’s St. Lucie County bookings?
Yes. The current Sheriff inmate-search form includes an “Only Today’s Bookings” option for filtering the jail search.
How long does a released inmate stay in the search?
The live Sheriff search currently states that it displays currently incarcerated inmates through five days post-release.
Why did the mugshot disappear after release?
The Sheriff specifically states that booking photos are available on its website only for people incarcerated at the time of the query. An inmate record may therefore remain searchable briefly after release while the photograph is no longer displayed.
How much does the Sheriff charge for a booking photo?
The Sheriff’s current public-record fee schedule lists booking photos at $5 each. Verify the current fee through the official records page before submitting payment.
How do I get a St. Lucie arrest affidavit?
Use the Sheriff’s Daily Arrest Information page for arrest-affidavit access. If you need a different agency-maintained report, request it from the agency that created the record.
Where do I search St. Lucie criminal court cases?
Use the St. Lucie County Clerk and Comptroller’s Court Case Search. Circuit Criminal handles felony records, while County Criminal maintains misdemeanor, criminal traffic and applicable ordinance records.
Does a St. Lucie mugshot mean the person was convicted?
No. A mugshot or booking entry documents arrest and jail processing. Use the court record for later case activity and disposition.
Where is St. Lucie County Jail?
The jail is at 900 N Rock Road, Fort Pierce, Florida 34945. The Sheriff publishes 772-462-3450 as the jail phone number.
How do I find someone who was recently released?
Check the Sheriff’s release report and the inmate search. The live inmate search currently retains records through five days post-release.
What if Port St. Lucie Police made the arrest?
The Sheriff may maintain the jail booking, but Port St. Lucie Police may maintain the underlying police record. Use the City of Port St. Lucie public-record system for police-record requests.
What if the person was transferred to Florida state prison?
Use the Florida Department of Corrections offender-search system. Florida DOC custody and St. Lucie County Jail custody are different systems.
Verify Identity and Case Outcome Before Repeating an Arrest
Public availability does not make an arrest record proof of criminal responsibility. Verify the correct person from available identifiers, check the responsible jurisdiction and follow the record into the court system before stating that an initial allegation was the final result.

Best Starting Point for a St. Lucie County Mugshot Search
If the arrest is recent, start with the Sheriff’s official inmate lookup and use “Only Today’s Bookings” when appropriate. Open the inmate profile for booking, arresting-agency, charge and bond information. If the person has been released, check the release report and remember that public booking-photo availability is more limited than the searchable inmate record.
For the arrest narrative, use Daily Arrest Information or request the report from the agency that created it. For what happened after booking, move to the St. Lucie County Clerk’s criminal case search. If the person entered Florida state custody, use Florida DOC instead of continuing to search the county jail.
