Horry County Mugshots and Booking Photos

If you need a specific older booking photograph or a record that is no longer visible in the booking search, contact the responsible government records custodian and provide the person’s name, approximate arrest date and any booking or case number you already have.
How to Request a Horry County Police Report
Horry County has an important division of responsibilities: the Sheriff’s Office oversees J. Reuben Long Detention Center, court security, civil process and warrants, while the Horry County Police Department handles many county law-enforcement investigations and incident reports.
HCPD says that if you filed a police report or your name appears on it, you can request a copy at a precinct with identification and the case number or the address and date of occurrence. The agency asks users to allow a few days after filing so the report can be completed and verified.
HCPD states that a report containing your name can be provided without charge.
HCPD currently lists a $2 charge when the report does not contain your name.
The department lists this number for report-related records assistance.
Use the county FOIA process for multiple reports or broader public-information requests.
HCPD notes that identifying information can be redacted when a requester seeks a report that does not contain the requester’s name. Email requests are limited to reports involving the requester; other-person reports must be requested in person or through the FOIA process.

The Public Index can be searched using names, court agency or case type, court actions or dispositions, and date ranges. This makes it a better source than a jail booking when you need to know what happened after charges were filed.
